There is a bidding system in place regarding which stadiums are the one to be used for Euro 2020, and as such each county in that soccer tournament can bid to be the host for any of the final stages of the tournament.

Eventually though, different countries and stadium will be chosen by the UEFA Executive Committee, and that is something that has now been decided and as such I will be enlightening you below on who the luck countries and the respective stadium were chosen to host soccer matches in Euro 2020.

Azerbaijan and the Baku based Olympic Stadium has been chosen as the one that will host Group stage and quarter-finals and Belgium with their Brussels based Euro Stadium has been chosen to host the Group stage and round of 16 matches, a quick update that has now been cancelled!

Another country that was successful with their bidding is Denmark and as such in Copenhagen it will be the Parken Stadium that will also be hosting some of the Group stage and round of 16 matches.

The one country that will be celebrating is England for after a hard-won bidding process it was decided that in London at Wembley Stadium they will be hosting the Finals Package which means they will be hosting both the Semi-finals and final.

It is also interesting to see that Germany and the Munich Allianz Arena along with Hungary and their Budapest Ferenc Puskás Stadium have also been chosen to host the Group stage and round of 16 matches

There are of course winners and losers in that bidding process, and below I will give you an overview of the countries that for one reason or another had their bids rejected, but one country that didn’t was Italy and as such in Rome at the Stadio Olimpico they too will be hosting the Group stage and quarter-finals.

Other countries and stadiums that will also be hosting the Group stage matches include Netherlands and the Amsterdam based Johan Cruyff Arena the Republic of Ireland and the Dublin based Aviva Stadium and Romania and the Bucharest based Arena Națională stadium too.

Russia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden and the Wales  based Cardiff Millennium Stadium are also going to be hosting some of those matches too.

However, when you have winners you do of course have to have losers, and the countries who did apply to be hosts of some of the EURO 2020 matches that sadly did not get selected include Bulgaria, Belarus, Israel, Macedonia and the Vasil Levski National Stadium, the Dinamo Stadium the Teddy Stadium and the Skopje Philip II Arena.
