Niko Kovac’s side made a good start to this seasons campaign by recording a 3-0 home win over Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade). The victory ended a three-game winless run for the German champions in the Champions League. In fact, they have made a good start to the season all around, as they are currently top of the Bundesliga table, as well as topping the group.

The visitors have been prolific in this competition of late, having scored at least twice in five of their last seven games. The Bavarians are usually good for entertainment value.

Although Bayern have drawn their last two away games in Europe’s elite competition, the reigning German champions are unbeaten in nine away matches, having recorded six victories in the process. Their attacking prowess has been on full display in their recent away games in Europe, as they have scored at least two goals in eight of those nine recent unbeaten matches.

There are serious concerns about Tottenham’s form this season. The team from north London have definitely not been at their best at the start of the season. Bayern Munich are not a great team to face when you are not in great form.
