The home side has endured a typically inconsistent campaign. The Rossoneri have enjoyed many rollercoaster campaigns in recent years. This season is no different either.

However, a recent good run of form in the Italian top-flight at least has the men from Milan challenging for a top-six spot in Serie A. An impressive shock 3-0 win at high-flying Lazio means that Stefan Pioli’s team are unbeaten in four league matches, having recorded three victories.

A return to potency in front of goal has helped Milan achieve their good recent results in the Italian top-flight, as the Rossoneri has scored at least two goals in their last four league outings.

However, Milan’s recent home form has not been impressive, as they have recorded just three wins in their previous nine Serie A games at the San Siro. Their recent home matches in the Italian top-flight have been relatively low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last seven league matches on home soil.

Juventus

There was a time pre the suspension of the season when Lazio looked like a real threat for the visitor’s perennial league winning. However, the Bianconeri look set to stride away with another Scudetto, their ninth straight league title, as the challengers from the capital are now seven points adrift with just eight gameweeks remaining.

A strong return to action after the break has helped Juventus establish that big lead at the top of the table. Maurizio Sarri’s team has won their last seven league games, four of which have come after the suspension in March. The Bianconeri have also been impressive in front of goal, scoring at least two goals in each of their previous seven league outings.

After two straight away defeats at Napoli and Verona in the early months of the year, Juventus have gone on to record three consecutive league victories on their travels. The teams they defeated SPAL, Genoa and Bologna all conceded at least two goals against the reigning Italian champions. With that sort of potency, it is no surprise that Sarri’s team are heading for yet another domestic title.

Conclusion

This game could be a potential banana skin for the team from Turin. Milan are in decent form and the win at Lazio will have raised the belief in the home camp. However, Juventus seem like a well-oiled winning machine and that is why we are backing the away win.
