The FA Cup quarter-finals are set to take place this weekend and as excited as we are to see what happens in those games, we’re equally as intrigued to see how the four remaining Premier League fixtures of the weekend are going to play out. These are going to serve as the last set of league fixtures before we hit the international break, and with that in mind, you’d have to imagine everyone will want to pick up a bit of momentum before they get a few weeks off.

Fulham vs Leeds
Leeds United feel like a team that’ll linger around midtable between now and the end of the season and for a newly promoted side, that’s a pretty impressive place to be. We all knew Marcelo Bielsa was going to stick to his guns in the top flight and the end result of that has been a pretty nice success story. On the flip side, Fulham know a win in this one could actually get them out of the bottom three if results go their way – which is the sort of incentive you need when taking on Leeds.
Brighton vs Newcastle
A draw in this fixture isn’t going to be particularly good for either team but if one of the two manages to pick up all three points, then they’ll be able to breathe a little bit easier heading into the final stretch of the campaign. Fulham, as we’ve already said, have a real opportunity themselves to make some noise this weekend and if they take it, the Seagulls and the Magpies will head into their game knowing that it’s pretty much going to be a mini cup final.
Aston Villa vs Tottenham
Is this going to be judgement day for Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho? Not quite, but a defeat here would be fairly damaging to their European prospects. They’ll be coming up against an Aston Villa side who have slumped backwards a bit in recent weeks but even with that being the case, they’re still unbelievably dangerous. Spurs have a few other competitions they need to keep one eye on but if they don’t take Villa seriously, they could be punished in a big way.
West Ham vs Arsenal
Arsenal are, all of a sudden, really starting to fly in the Premier League. That may be a bit of an overstatement but they’re definitely a team to watch in the race for the top six, especially after their win over rivals Tottenham in the North London derby. The next step is going to be putting together a consistent stream of wins which leads us to another all-London encounter, this time against West Ham. The Hammers have had a few slip-ups lately but as the table confirms, they’re still huge top four contenders.
