Prediction & odds for the game: Leicester (5/1) v Manchester City (11/20) – ST is backing the away win
When: Saturday, 3rd April @ 5.30pm K.O
Where: King Power Stadium
Leicester City and Manchester City will meet in the Premier League as the international break comes to an end and the final league stretch begins.
Leicester
Leicester City fans can be forgiven for worrying that they may falter down the stretch in the top four battle just as they did last season, but that doesn’t appear to be happening right now. They aren’t guaranteed to secure Champions League football and we aren’t suggesting they won’t have a stumble here or there, but they are going to be feeling incredibly confident heading into a game against Manchester City – which not a lot of teams can say with a straight face.
The Foxes suffered back to back losses against Slavia Prague and Arsenal to end the month of February, leading many to wonder whether or not the collapse was about to begin. That would’ve been furthered by the draw against Burnley but then, they seemed to flick a switch. They beat Brighton, battered Sheffield United and even beat Manchester United to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Manchester City
What is there to say about Manchester City that hasn’t already been said? They are on an unbelievable roll and all signs point towards them genuinely contesting for the quadruple and being favourites to win in all four competitions. That just doesn’t happen every day and Pep Guardiola has to understand the gravity of the situation in front of him. Then again, if he focuses too much on it, that could be where the cracks start to show.
A surprise 2-0 defeat to rivals Manchester United is the only thorn that City have had to deal with in recent weeks. March, as a whole, was pretty incredible as they were able to register wins over Wolves, Southampton, Fulham, Borussia Monchengladbach and Everton across the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.
Conclusion
Leicester are a tough nut to crack for just about anyone in the Premier League but at the end of the day, we’re still talking about a Manchester City side who just look so unbelievably impressive right now. They are as strong as they’ve ever been under Pep Guardiola and they are racing towards a potential quadruple that would make them one of the most successful teams in the history of English football. City should win this, and we think they will.
Our official scoreline prediction is going to be 3-1 Manchester City, ensuring we hit the over 2.5 goals bracket.
Verdict: Back the away win at odds of 11/20 and the over 2.5 goals scored at odds of 4/5 (All odds are taken from bet365).
