However, Bayern boss Hansi Flick’s chose to rotate his squad slightly in the game ahead of this difficult encounter.

The European champions will still feel confident of retaining their German top-flight title this season. Their hopes of retaining their European crown are slightly less hopeful after that first-leg defeat. It will certainly be a challenge for Bayern to turn things around in this tie.

The defeat came as a shock to the European champions, as they were 19 games unbeaten in Europe’s elite competition before the loss. The game did see Bayern continue their prolific scoring form in Europe, though, as Flick’s team has now scored at least two goals in two goals in eight of their previous nine matches.
