When: Wednesday, 28th April @ 8pm K.O

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City meet this week in the first leg of their enticing UEFA Champions League semi-final.
PSG
Paris Saint-Germain are in the midst of their toughest Ligue 1 title battle in quite a few years but even with that at the forefront of their mind, they’re still in with a fantastic shot at winning this season’s Champions League. They just fell short last season but after beating Bayern Munich, the team who they lost to in the final, they’ve given themselves a real platform to build on. Now, it’s just a case of seeing how much time it takes for them to ascend to the heights we all know they can reach.
Ever since losing the second leg against Bayern 1-0 only to win on aggregate, PSG have been on fire. They beat St Etienne and Metz in entertaining league games and they also saw off Angers with an emphatic 5-0 win in the Coupe de France.
Manchester City
Manchester City won’t be able to go after the quadruple this season but at the very least, a treble is possible – and the first part of that mission has been completed after their League Cup triumph at the weekend. Pep Guardiola has done a decent job of managing his resources in what has become an increasingly complicated end of the campaign, and now we need to see whether he has what it takes to push them over the finish line.
City’s incredible comeback against Borussia Dortmund set the stage nicely for their FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea but unfortunately for them, the Blues were the fresher of the two teams and that showed in a 1-0 Wembley defeat. They went on to beat Aston Villa and edge closer to the Premier League title before beating Tottenham in the Carabao Cup final.
Conclusion
There’s something about PSG’s win over Bayern, in comparison to how much City have had to go through across four different competitions, that leads us to believe the French side are the ones who will be more relaxed in this tie. Yes, the pressure is on both teams to try and win the big one, but that doesn’t mean they’re both going to perform at the same level. We’re going to back PSG to win this and take a decent lead into the second leg.
Our official scoreline prediction is going to be 2-0 PSG, meaning we will be sticking with the under 2.5 goals bracket in what should be an entertaining game of chess.
Verdict: Back the home win at odds of 21/10 and the under 2.5 goals scored at odds of 6/5 (All odds are taken from bet365).
