We have reached gameweek six of the Premier League season and that means more big decisions to make about our FPL teams. Gameweek five was one to forget for many FPL bosses. Therefore, it is of little surprise our gameweek five tips didn’t deliver. We are hoping for better fortunes in gameweek six. So, here are our gameweek six picks:
Tino Livramento (Southampton, £4.2m)
There is always one cheap defender in FPL that seems to rise above his price tag and impress. One candidate for the role this season could be Southampton’s young full-back Tino Livramento.
The 18-year-old England under-21 has impressed for Saints this season. Despite his tender years, the youngster has played all but five minutes of Southampton’s campaign so far.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team kicked off their campaign with some poor results and looked suspect at the back. However, the team from the south coast have now produced back-to-back clean sheets, most recently at reigning champions Manchester City last time out.
A home game against a Wolves team that has failed to score in four of their first five league matches of the season makes Livramento a potential bargain at just £4.2m for this weekend.
Ismaila Sarr (Watford, £6.1m)
The Senegalese winger produced a 15-point haul in his last outing, as the Hornets recorded a 3-1 win at Norwich. The win in east Anglia saw Sarr score a brace and take his top-flight goal tally for the season up to three in just five appearances.
He is starting to look like a very promising FPL asset, especially with a home game against Newcastle this weekend. A trip to out of form Leeds the following weekend also looks like a promising fixture for Sarr, as the Whites style of play may just play into the hands of the winger.
Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace, £5.6m)
The Chelsea loanee has made a big splash at Palace since his arrival. The youngster has already scored two goals and also produced two assists. At his current price, Gallagher looks like a potential bargain for your fifth or even fourth midfield spot, as there are few options in his price bracket in the game that consistently deliver points.
On Monday night, Palace host in-form Brighton, but with a home crowd behind them, the Eagles can cause the Seagulls major problems and Gallagher has the potential to play a key role in the encounter.
Michail Antonio (West Ham, £7.9m)
The experienced forward has been a transfer target for many this week, as he returns from suspension for the Hammers trip to Leeds. Before his one-game suspension, Antonio had shot to the top of the forward charts.
He had scored four goals and produced as many assists in his opening three league appearances before a red card at Southampton curtailed his promising start to the season. Leeds have not been great at the back this season and Antonio has the ability to punish any defensive slips.
If you are looking for a differential captain too, then Antonio may well be the one to choose this weekend.
