Maurizio Sarri’s team heads into this game on the back of four games without defeat in all competitions. In their last Serie A outing, the Biancocelesti hammered Salernitana 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico. The recent results have taken the team from the Italian capital to within a point of the top-four and the Champions League spots.

The 31-year-old, who started his career at Juventus, has scored six goals in as many home league appearances for Lazio. The Italian international is a fitness doubt for the game, but there is optimism that he will be fit to start against his first club.

Juventus

Things have been anything but plane sailing for the Bianconeri this season, as the team from Turin currently sit in eighth place in the Serie A table. They are currently four points adrift of the Champions League spots, which is the absolute minimum required of the team this season.

Max Allegri’s team have not been great of late. However, they did secure a much-needed win last time out, as they defeated old rivals Fiorentina 1-0 at the Allianz Stadium. The win ended a run of three league games without a win.

It is hard to know what you are going to get with Juventus on their travels in Serie A. The old lady of Italian football has won two, drawn and lost two of their previous six away games in the Italian top-flight.

Juventus have been vulnerable in defence, as the visitors have kept just one clean sheet in their previous 15 away matches in the Italian top-flight.

Conclusion

Although Juventus are the favourites to win this clash, Lazio are formidable on home form. We are backing Sarri’s team to record a victory because of that strong home form and the fact that Juventus are so unconvincing on their travels. The other we recommend is over 2.5 goals due to Lazio’s potent home attack and Juventus having a less than convincing defensive record on their travels of late.
