The Premier League clubs with big opportunities in Week 23
|

The Premier League rolls on this week for another selection of entertaining fixtures as we continue to venture down the path of chaos that is January. We’re over half way through the campaign and if you take one look at just how many games there are left to go before the season ends, there’s a whole lot that is already on the line for clubs up and down the table.

Today, our aim is to pick out four clubs, in particular, who we believe have a huge opportunity ahead of them in the next few days. They aren’t nailed on to pick up all three points and they may not even be the favourites, but if they can find a way to win, it could be huge for their season.

If you feel like putting some money down on any of the games we’re about to discuss, head on over to the betting page.

Norwich

Norwich City were widely considered to be dead and buried after the first handful of games but now, they’re just one win away from actually vaulting themselves out of the bottom three – for the time being, of course. The Canaries managed to secure a nice win over Everton in their last outing and now, if they can do the same thing to Watford over the weekend, they’ll pile the pressure onto their rivals.

Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers appear to be on a bit of a European march and it’s been a long time coming for fans who wanted to see their side really piece everything together. They’re the kind of club that is capable of beating just about anyone in the league and while playing Brentford is no small task, the Bees would’ve had to play Manchester United just three days prior to this meeting.

Leeds

Leeds have managed to win two games on the bounce and their next task is playing host to Newcastle United at Elland Road. The Magpies are going to be revitalised slightly as a result of their dealings in the January transfer window, but that doesn’t at all mean their situation has changed. They’re still struggling and Leeds actually have some momentum behind them, with Marcelo Bielsa’s men being able to go 12 points clear (potentially) of the relegation zone if they can mastermind a win.

Manchester City

Manchester City are stretching their lead at the top of the Premier League table with each and every passing week, to the point where it’s already starting to look like we’ve got a one-horse race on our hands between now and May. Pep Guardiola has done some magical things during his time at the Etihad and this weekend, after celebrating his birthday during the week, he’ll try and make another big statement when his side visit Southampton. The Saints are good on their day and nobody is denying that, but now feels like the time for City to prove to the world why they’re one of the very best of their generation – in England and across the globe.
