Napoli

The Azzurri have put themselves right back in the fight for the Scudetto in recent games by mounting a five-game unbeaten run in Serie A. That fine run includes recording four straight league wins. A 2-0 win at Venezia last time out in the Italian top-flight moved Luciano Spalletti’s team to within a point of Saturday’s opponents, who lead the way in the Serie A standings.

Napoli have been relatively potent in front of goal in recent league matches, as the Azzurri have scored at least twice in their last three league outings. A 2-1 home defeat by the Rossoneri last time out in the Italian top-flight ended a 14-match unbeaten run for the visitors in Serie A. Another defeat in a big game would put major pressure on the Nerazzurri, especially as they face a month of big games on all fronts.

Inter have been relatively strong on their travels of late, as they are undefeated in their last seven league games on the road in the Italian top-flight, having recorded five victories.

The visitors have been strong at both ends of the field on their travels, as they have kept four straight clean sheets away from home in Serie A. At the other end of the pitch, they have also scored at least two goals in three of their last four away matches in the Italian top-flight.

Conclusion

The home side has been in good form of late, while Inter will be smarting from their late defeat in the Derby della Madonnina. We can see this being a close game and with that in mind, we are backing this game to produce a draw. We also believe it could be relatively low-scoring, so we are taking a punt at backing under 2.5 goals scored too.
