Arsenal has moved to the front of the queue in the race to sign Ivory Coast international Wilfried Zaha this summer, according to Footmercato.
The Crystal Palace man’s contract runs out at the end of the 2022-23 season, and there is a growing sense around Selhurst Park that the 30-year-old could depart the club. However, the Eagles haven’t yet given up hope of renewing Zaha’s deal.
Arsenal chase Zaha transfer
Arsenal have been long-time admirers of the Palace man, and was reportedly interested in paying $40 million for his signature a couple of years ago. However, Palace were reluctant to do business, as the winger was integral to their chances of remaining in the Premier League.
Zaha is likely to have a number of options this summer, with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund also considering an approach. Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco are also reportedly interested in making a move for Palace’s highest scoring player in Premier League history.
