Arsenal’s race for the league title in the 2022-23 season may not yet be over, but the Gunners are already preparing bids for two sought-after strikers in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider.
It has been reported that the Gunners may look to bolster their attacking options, with both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Dusan Vlahovic among the rumored targets for the Premier League leaders.
Arsenal to return to Vlahovic
Arsenal was in the running to sign Vlahovic from Fiorentina last winter, but the Serbian striker ultimately opted for a move to Juventus. The goals have dried up in his first full season at the Allianz Stadium, as he has netted just eight goals in 21 Serie A outings.
Calvert-Lewin has been a striker that has been on Arsenal’s radar for a number of seasons. But, with Everton potentially facing relegation to the second tier this term, the striker is seen as an affordable alternative to the Juventus forward. Everton will likely be forced to sell many of their top stars, given the financial situation that they will find themselves in.
