Veteran striker Olivier Giroud has agreed to a new one-year contract to remain at AC Milan.
As reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Giroud, who was set to be out of contract at the end of the season at the Rossoneri, has now agreed to stay for one more campaign taking him until June 2024.
Giroud has proved to be a key part of Head Coach Stefano Pioli’s short-term plans after scoring the decisive goal against Napoli which took AC Milan to the Champions League Semi-Finals last night.
World Cup winner Giroud, now 36, is now only two matches away from winning his thirteenth major honor in a longstanding career that has seen him play for top clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea.
