Bayern Munich have fined striker Sadio Mane as more facts are established about his punch-up with teammate Leroy Sane last week in his side’s 3-0 Champions League defeat by Manchester City.
The pair reportedly had to be separated by teammates after an altercation that occurred after the match. The Senegal captain, 31, is alleged to have punched Sane in the face, busting the German’s lip.

Mane was subsequently suspended for Bayern Munich’s 1-1 home draw with 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday but has been included in Thomas Tuchel’s squad for tonight’s second leg of the Champions League tie with Manchester City.
The incident, along with Mane’s mixed form in his debut season with the Bundesliga champions, has meant the former Liverpool ace’s future is under serious doubt and there has been speculation that Tuchel does not have Mane in his plans for next season.
Now it has been reported in SPORTBILD that Mane has been fined over $380,000 for the incident, rather than a possible fine which would have totaled well over $2m.
🚨 Bayern Munich had the possibility to impose a fine of €2M to Sadio Mané following his altercation with Leroy Sané, but decided against it. 🤝
