Erling Haaland is to be offered a new improved contract at Manchester City, despite only joining the club last summer.
The Norwegian hitman has been a huge success in his first season at the Etihad and according to The Athletic journalist Sam Lee, the hierarchy at Manchester City are already planning of offering a new contract. Haaland has scored an incredible 47 goals this season in all competitions for the Blues as they prepare to take on Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League Quarter Final, leading 3-0 on aggregate from the first leg in part due to Haaland’s second half goal.

It has also been revealed that the release clause worth approximately $218m in Haaland’s current contract which was due to be active in the summer of 2024 has been canceled now Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has signed his own contract extension.
