There looks set to be a tussle between Man United and Newcastle this summer, as both Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in making a move for Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio.
The report by Football Insider claims that both clubs are keen on making the first move for the highly talented 21-year-old, with Sporting looking for a fee in the region of $50 million.
Newcastle and Man United hoping to sign Inacio
Inacio is one of the most sought-after talents in world soccer, as he is highly regarded as one of the best young full-backs on the planet. A number of other European giants are monitoring the situation, but reports have indicated that United and Newcastle have stolen a march on the competition.
Newcastle look set to make huge moves in the summer window, as they could spend millions if they successfully qualify for the Champions League. The Toon currently leads United in the race for the full-back’s signature, as the Red Devils prefer a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong.
