Erik ten Hag is expected to overhaul his defensive line this summer, according to reports at The Daily Mail. The Dutch coach has worked wonders at Old Trafford this season, and the club could yet end the campaign with three pieces of silverware.
However, the United boss is keen to offload a number of first-team defenders, and has reportedly lined up a summer move for Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
Man United hoping to bring in Jeremie Frimpong
United, and ten Hag, have been long-time admirers of Frimpong. The 22-year-old right-back has been a standout star in the Bundesliga with Leverkusen this season, as he has scored eight goals and registered six assists in 28 league outings. His profile certainly fits what ten Hag is trying to do at the Theatre of Dreams.
His arrival could signal the end for a number of United’s first-team stars, including Aaron Wan-Bissaka. United are also willing to allow a number of other defenders to depart the club this summer, including Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly, Brandon Williams, and Alex Telles.
