Reports suggest that Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia has a release clause worth $50m that can be triggered by Manchester City until 2024.
Lavia, who started his career in the Manchester City youth academy, has impressed in his first full Premier League season in a struggling side with the Saints rock-bottom of the league, four points adrift from safety with only seven games left to save their season.

The cash-strapped side, however, now managed by their caretaker boss Ruben Selles, are seeking to recuperate more than the $50m located in Lavia’s clause according to reports in 90 min football.
Lavia, who was seen by many inside the City camp as a potential long-term replacement to Fernandinho, went on to make only one start for Manchester City in a 6-1 League Cup win against Wycombe.
