Tottenham Hotspur are set for a shock signing as they edge nearer to the signature of Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, who is currently on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion.

The highly-rated central defender, 21, has formed a strong partnership with club captain Lewis Dunk at the Seagulls this season, making 15 appearances in total.

The news will come as music to the ears of some Tottenham fans, who have watched their team concede 45 Premier League goals so far this season, meaning they currently have the leakiest defense out of any of the top 13 clubs in the table.
