Leeds United has emerged as potential suitors for LAFC and Ecuadorian international midfielder Jose Cifuentes.
The 24-year-old has only nine months left on his contract at LAFC after signing from Universidad Catolina in January 2020 for $3m. Since then he has become a crucial part of Steve Cherundolo’s engine room, scoring seven goals and assisting six for his side on their way to claiming their first MLS Cup, which completed a momentous league double after winning their second Supporters Shield in their short history.

And now according to Bleacher Report journalist Tom Bogert, Cifuentes is now being pursued by Premier League giants Leeds United, Glasgow Rangers, and La Liga outfit Espanyol, with clubs set for either a cut-price deal in the summer window or a potential free transfer in January 2023.
Have heard Leeds United, Rangers and Espnayol as potential options for LAFC & Ecuador int'l midfielder Jose Cifuentes.
I'd imagine a lot of teams in Europe are interested with his contract expiring at the end of 2023. Either an undervalued summer transfer or free in the winter. pic.twitter.com/CLl4X5EhFB
