Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim as the club’s chase to hire a new permanent manager continues.
As reported in the Daily Mail, Chairman Daniel Levy’s shortlist for the hot seat also includes Julian Nagelsmann, Brendan Rodgers, Luis Enrique, and Arne Slot.

However, it is believed that Amorim, still only 38, is currently the top contender for the job. The highly-rated Portuguese manager led Sporting Lisbon to their first domestic title in 19 years in 2021 and has already attracted attention from other top European clubs.
It would not be the first time Tottenham would be hiring a manager from Portugal, with Andre-Villas Boas, Jose Mourinho, and Nuno Espirito Santo also taking charge of the North London-based outfit. Chairman Levy will also be recruiting a new Sporting Director after Fabio Patrici announced his resignation from the club this morning.
