Man City have set their sights on a $30 million summer transfer for Brentford star Aaron Hickey, according to The Sun. The Premier League champions will reportedly be in the market for a right-back this summer, as they are willing to offload Kyle Walker.
Man City eye transfer move for Brentford star
Pep Guardiola is a long-time admirer of the Brentford full-back, as the Spaniard sees the 20-year-old as the perfect ‘modern’ full-back. Hickey can play on either side of the backline, having started out his career as a left-back for Scottish club Hearts.
Hickey has been a key part of the Bees defense this season, as he has played 20 times in the Premier League. The 20-year-old also played in both EURO qualifiers for Scotland earlier in the year.
Hickey is one of two full-backs that the Premier League champions are monitoring this summer, as they are also interested in making a move for Fulham’s USA international Antonee Robinson.
