Chelsea have been linked with a shock move for ex-Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.
Mane, who turned 31 last week, has had a disappointing first season at Bayern Munich and there has been speculation about his future past this season after allegedly punching teammate Leroy Sane after losing 3-0 to Manchester City earlier this month.
And according to Football Insider writer Wayne Versey, Chelsea are in the market for an experienced world-class striker this summer and Mane fits the bill, being able to play both on the wing and up-front as a central striker. With Mane’s contract running until the summer of 2025, however, he will not come cheap and Chelsea will likely have to stump up a fee close to what the Bavarians paid Liverpool for the Senegalese forward last summer, approximately $35.5m.

Senegal captain Mane has scored only seven league goals this term for the Bavarians compared to his impressive tally of 16 in the Premier League last season for Liverpool.
