Man United could be set to allow one of their first-team goalkeepers to leave the club this summer. According to the Scottish Sun, Rangers are growing closer to agreeing a deal with the Red Devils for former England international Jack Butland.
Man United willing to allow Butland summer departure
Rangers have been admirers of the goalkeeper for a couple of years, and nearly agreed a deal with Butland before the 30-year-old signed for the Red Devils in the winter transfer window.
However, Michael Beale could be set to get his number one target this summer, with Butland’s current deal with Crystal Palace coming to an end. Rangers have identified the United goalkeeper as their dream replacement for Allan McGregor.
Butland is yet to make an appearance for the Red Devils since arriving in January, as he has played back-up to regular number one David de Gea. However, the goalkeeper still boasts a wealth of experience, having played nine times for England.
