Arsenal are once again in the race to sign Barcelona star Raphinha, according to AS. The Gunners have been long-time admirers of the Brazilian, and attempted to bring the 26-year-old to the Emirates before he moved to the Spanish giants.
Mikel Arteta will be looking to strengthen his squad once again this summer, as it appears that they will come up short in their title race with Man City. Raphinha has been a long-term target for the Gunners, and the La Liga giants could be willing to allow the winger to leave the club this summer to free up finances in order to re-sign Lionel Messi.
However, the Gunners will face a fight to land their target, with both Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur also monitoring the situation. But, a move to the latter appears unlikely as Raphinha will demand Champions League soccer from any potential future club.
The Brazilian has scored six goals and registered five assists in 29 La Liga appearances this season. But, tensions between the player and club appeared high earlier in the season after the 26-year-old was subbed off against Man United in the Europa League.
