Newcastle are confident of landing Croatian international midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in the summer transfer window from Inter Milan.
According to Croatian news outlet Sportske Novosti, Brozovic is available for around $38m at the end of the season with the midfielder’s contract at Inter running until 2026.
Latest Newcastle United transfer news: Marcelo Brozovic heavily linked with Premier League move
Brozovic, 30, joined Inter in 2016 from his hometown club Dinamo Zagreb for $5.5m and was a vital part of the Nerazurri’s Serie A title-winning season in 2021, playing 33 league appearances.
If the Croat were to make a move to the North East of England, he would face stiff competition for a place in midfield at St James’ Park alongside players such as Joe Willock, Bruno Guimaraes, and fan-favorite Joelintion, who have helped steer the Magpies through an excellent Premier League campaign which currently sees them lie third.
