Burnley latest news: Ex-NFL star JJ Watt invests in Vincent Kompany’s side
The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and former Houston Texans star retired from playing in the NFL last year after his contract with the Arizona Cardinals came to an end. Despite reportedly being a fan of Premier League giants Chelsea, Watt has committed his future to the Clarets after seeing their 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic at Turf Moor earlier this season and immediately feeling an affiliation towards the club.
About today’s announcement, Watt said: ” Burnley is a really special club. When you invest in a club that’s been around since 1882, you must have great respect for its history and tradition”.
