Manchester City are close to beating Brentford to the signing of 15-year-old goalkeeper Thorsten Brits from AFC Wimbledon.
According to reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano, under-16 England international Brits is considered a major talent for the future and Pep Guardiola’s men are believed to have surpassed the Bees in the race to sign the young goalkeeper.

Man City transfer news: Champions interested in youth team goalkeeper
Brits, nicknamed Spike, is yet to make his debut for the first team at AFC Wimbledon but this has not been enough to put off City from arranging a deal for the youngster, who will join fellow goalkeepers Ederson, Stefan Ortega, Zach Steffen, Scott Carson and James Trafford at the Etihad Stadium.
