Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos has signed a new contract keeping him with the Parisians until 2027.
As reported by French news outlet RMC Sport, the Brazilian center-back has extended his contract which will keep him with the Ligue 1 champions for 14 years in total since his move from Roma in 2013 for $34.5m.
PSG transfer news: Marquinhos extends deal
The 28-year-old has had a disappointing campaign this term for the Parisians, suffering an early Champions League exit in the round of last-16 to Bayern and another defeat at home to Lorient on Sunday has led to speculation that PSG are looking for new players to replace Marquinhos at center-back, with Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte heavily linked.
The Brazilian was appointed club captain in 2020 following the departure of Brazilian compatriot Thiago Silva to Chelsea.
