Lionel Messi set for PSG exit following suspension
The latest news out of Paris comes after Messi was suspended without pay for two weeks by PSG after he traveled to Saudi Arabia without permission.
Argentina’s captain was set to return to training on Monday following PSG’s shock 3-1 defeat against Lorient, but he went AWOL. The suspension means that he won’t be able to train or play for PSG over the coming two weeks.
Messi’s request to travel to the Middle East was turned down by the club, but he traveled to Saudi Arabia regardless. The latest twist in this story means that Messi’s time at PSG almost certainly looks to be over, and a return to Barcelona could be the most likely outcome.
