Chelsea have completed the signing of 18-year-old right winger Alex Matos from Championship side Norwich City.
The winger will become Boehly’s 18th signing since arriving at the club last April with Matos expected to first join up with Chelsea’s under-21 side before making the step up to the first team.
Unlike many of Boehly’s expensive transfers, including the $134m signing of Enzo Fernandez and Wesley Fofana who arrived from Leicester City for $88m, Matos arrives at Stamford Bridge on a free transfer according to reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Young winger Alex Matos swaps Carrow Road for Stamford Bridge
Matos arrives at a time of uncertainty at Chelsea with Boehly set to hire his third manager in less than 12 months following the sackings of Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter, with former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino waiting in the wings to take over at Stamford Bridge.
Interim manager Frank Lampard will oversee Chelsea until the end of the season with the former Blues legend astonishingly losing all six of the matches he has taken charge of so far.
