Tottenham have held talks with out-of-work German manager Julian Nagelsmann as their search for a new permanent manager continues.
According to German reporter Florian Plettenberg, Nagelsmann is still favored by Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy over other candidates such as Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso.
❗️News #Nagelsmann: Tottenham/Levy pushing more and more! Further talks took place in the last days. #COYS are a serious option for him. His opinion: Big club! Big potential!
➡️ But he wants to know exactly: How much power does he get in transfers?

However, 35-year-old Nagelsmann is still seeking assurances from the club over his ability to have an effect on any potential transfers this summer with Tottenham still looking to appoint a new Director of Football, following the resignation of Fabio Paratici.
Julian Nagelsmann holds talks with Daniel Levy over vacant Tottenham job
The German is undecided whether to go straight back into management following his surprise sacking by Bayern Munich in March and after departing a club riddled with its own internal politics, Nagelsmann wants to take his time before making a decision over his future.
With Tottenham nine points outside the Champions League spots with only four league matches remaining, it is almost certain that Nagelsmann will be taking over at a club that will not be playing in European football’s premier competition next season. However, with a new stadium holding around 63000 and players such as England captain Harry Kane and Heung-min Son still at Tottenham’s disposal, Nagelsmann sees the North London club to have a lot of potential to make them a force in the Premier League once again.
