Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly asked Barcelona to name their price for midfielder Franck Kessie, according to Sport.
The Premier League giants are keen to make the 26-year-old Ivorian their first summer signing this year. Barcelona would be keen to offload the midfielder, despite the fact that he only arrived last summer on a free transfer from AC Milan.
Tottenham hoping to agree Kessie transfer
Spurs will desperately be looking for midfield reinforcements this summer, and Kessie is a star that the North London giants have monitored throughout his career. Tottenham were keen on making a move for the 26-year-old last summer, but the Ivorian opted for a move to Barcelona.
The Spanish side appears willing to offload Kessie this summer, as they look to free up wage space in order to finance the return of Lionel Messi. The midfielder has fallen down the pecking order this season for the La Liga leaders, as he has made just 24 appearances for Barcelona, scoring once and registering one assist.
