Real Madrid will take on Barcelona in Dallas this summer as El Clasico comes to the United States for the third time this century.
Los Blancos have already taken on the Catalan giants in 2017 and 2022, but according to the Spanish newspaper AS, the biggest football fixture in the world will be heading to Dallas’ 92,000 seater stadium The Cotton Bowl on 29 July 2023.
El Clasico to return to America this summer
Avoiding a monumental collapse, Barcelona will take on their greatest rivals in the summer as newly crowned La Liga champions in what will be their 27th league title in their esteemed history. The match may even prove to be the second debut of Lionel Messi, as the Catalans continue to thrash out negotiations to convince their ex-captain and all-time top scorer to return to the Nou Camp.
On both previous occasions, Barca have come out victorious, winning 3-2 and 1-0, with the fixture set to take place in red-hot conditions at the former home of the Dallas Cowboys which also staged six matches in the 1994 World Cup.
