Chelsea and USMNT star Christian Pulisic could be set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after a difficult season according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 24-year-old attacker has been rumored with a move away from Chelsea for a while since joining from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in 2019 for a whopping $73m and speaking on CBS Sports Golazo, Romano said: “My expectation is for Chelsea to prepare for him to go this summer.”
What has Fabrizio Romano said about Christian Pulisic transfer?
The USMNT star forward has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular in four years under a string of different managers at Chelsea and amid speculation that Pulisic will be one of many players axed by American owner Todd Boehly this summer, Romano went on to tell CBS Sports: “I can’t confirm any of the rumors we (Italy) had in the last few days with Juventus or Napoli, but the reality is Juventus still don’t know who’s going to be the director for next season.
But it’s also important to remember there are other clubs. Some clubs in England, some clubs in Germany, and I think the player knows that.”It’s going to be complicated, maybe a loan deal with a buy option clause, or they could try and find a permanent deal opportunity for Pulisic. But this is one of the priorities of the club (Chelsea), to sell as many players as possible.”
