A number of Premier League clubs have been monitoring Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo this season, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Newcastle are among the clubs that are interested in the 23-year-old. However, the Magpies could face stiff competition with both Man United and Liverpool also contemplating a summer move.
Newcastle eye transfer move for Todibo
Todibo is regarded as one of the best up-and-coming defenders in Europe, and has been a standout star for Nice this term. However, the Ligue 1 giants aren’t likely to part ways with the defender easily, as reports have claimed that it could take a fee of $50 million for Nice to come to the table.
The Frenchman has previous experience at the top level of the European game, as he previously played for Barcelona on four occasions. However, his reputation has reached new heights since joining Nice in 2021.
Todibo has played 82 games across all competitions for Nice in the previous two seasons, including 30 Ligue 1 appearances in the 2022-23 campaign.
