Man United have emerged as a contender for Arsenal in the race to sign RB Leipzig’s Mohamed Simakan this summer, according to Fichajes.
The Gunners had been leading the race to sign the 23-year-old defender, but Man United’s interest in the Bundesliga star could now ignite a bidding war between the English giants.

Both United and Arsenal look set to be in the market for a new right-back this summer. Simakan has been a standout contender for the Gunners, but United have now emerged as a potential suitor.
The Red Devils have been following Jeremie Frimpong among other players this term, but Leipzig’s star could also be a possible realistic target. Simakan has been at Leipzig since 2021 after impressing in France with Strasbourg.
The 23-year-old has already represented France at U21 level, and has been touted with a potential call-up at the end of the season. Simakan has been a standout star for Leipzig this term, as he has netted once and registered one assist for Leipzig in 22 Bundesliga outings.
