Premier League club Wolves are interested in signing the Seattle Sounders and US youth international pair of Obed Vargas and Reed Baker-Whiting.
17-year-old Vargas has already broken into the Sounders’ first team this season, playing six times in the MLS so far and providing an assist in his side’s 4-1 defeat to Portland Timbers. The Anchorage-born central midfielder is seen as a future star of the American game and is already an established member of the US’s under-20 side.

Fellow midfielder Baker-Whiting, 18, has also gained first-team experience at the Sounders this season, making three MLS appearances so far. The USA under-19 man can play in a number of positions across the midfield including in a holding role and on the left-hand side.
According to The Athletic’s Tom Bogert, both Vargas and Baker-Whiting are both being watched by Wolves scouts who have specifically flown in Stateside to see the pair up close in person, although a bid is not expected just yet.
