LAFC midfielder Jose Cifuentes has met with official representatives of Rangers over a summer transfer to the Scottish giants.
Cifuentes was a $3m signing in January 2020 for the newly formed club and was a key reason for LA’s MLS Cup win last year, forming a strong midfield partnership with former Barcelona man Ilie Sanchez and Kellyn Acosta in a 4-3-3 formation.
Jose Cifuentes rumored with move to Rangers
According to reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Cifuentes’ move is in its final stages after it was first reported that the Ecuadorian was set to move to Leeds United.

However with Leeds’ Premier League status looking increasingly in danger, currently sitting a point from safety with only two matches left, Cifuentes looks set to move to Glasgow with Rangers looking to close the gap between themselves and bitter rivals Celtic, who became back-to-back Scottish champions earlier this month.
