Liverpool are keeping an eye on Feyenoord star midfielder Orkan Kokcu if they miss out on signing Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister.
The Turkish midfielder is currently seen as the second choice for Jurgen Klopp according to Football Transfers writer Jacque Talbot behind World Cup winner Mac Allister as the Reds plot a summer midfield rebuild with James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita all set to leave the club for free at the end of the season.
Orkan Kokcu a potential target for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool
Mac Allister has stated he wants to leave Brighton and Hove Albion this summer to play in the Champions League and with Liverpool currently sitting fifth, one point outside the Champions League spots with one game less to play behind bitter rivals Manchester United, the Reds are looking for midfield alternatives if they miss out on the signature of Brighton’s attacking midfielder.
In that sense, Kokcu fits the bill after a fantastic season with Feyenoord, for whom he lifted the Eredivisie title on Sunday after their home match against Go Ahead Eagles
