Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea are set to fight for the signature of French midfielder Youssouf Fofana from Monaco.
And the French international has not closed the door on a move away from the Principality this summer, saying to the London Evening Standard, “A lot of big clubs come here to find players and we are all aware of this. If it is the right opportunity or moment (to leave), I can’t say”.
The 24-year-old has been a star of the Monergasque team this year, and finally scored his first league goal for the club this season since arriving from Strasbourg in 2020.

The highly-rated defensive midfielder even played in last year’s World Cup final, coming on as a 96th-minute substitute in extra time for Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot, eventually playing in an impressive six of France’s seven matches in Qatar.
