German giants Borussia Dortmund have a concrete interest in Mexican defensive midfielder Edson Alvarez.
As reported last week, Dortmund and Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich admire Alvarez but it is the former who appear ready to make a move for the 25-year-old, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Edson Alvarez rumored at summer move to the Signal Iduna Park
Alvarez has been one of the few bright stars in a disappointing campaign for Ajax, who currently sit third in the Eredivisie, 13 points behind runaway title winners Feyenoord.
Alvarez would be keen on a move according to reports, with Dortmund only one win away from winning their first Bundesliga title since 2012 and the Mexican has already stated his desire of playing in the Champions League.
Alvarez won two back-to-back Eredivisie titles between 2020 and 2022 after joining from Mexican club Club America for $17m.
