Ajax attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus has declined a one-year contract extension in an attempt to push through a move to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old Ghanian has informed the Amsterdam-based club he wants to leave the club this summer with his current deal set to run out in 2025.
Mohammed Kudus linked with Old Trafford move this summer
Kudus has had a fantastic individual campaign in a disappointing season for Ajax, scoring 18 goals from midfield in 40 matches in all competitions, making him the club’s top goal scorer this term.
It is Kudus’ aim to play in the Champions League, and with Ajax almost certainly only going to qualify for the Europa League next year, the attention of Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Manchester United has been heavily alerted, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.

According to Ornstein, a fee of around $50m should be enough to prize the midfielder away from the Johan Cruyff Arena this summer.
