AC Milan are reportedly keen on Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who only has 12 months left on his contract.
The Rossoneri have missed the presence of Franck Kessie who moved to Barcelona last summer and with Charles De Ketelaere not settling since his big-money move from Club Brugge, Milkinkovic-Savic is seen as an ideal signing to block a hole in central midfield by Milan according to Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport writer Luca Bianchin.
AC Milan want Serbian international to bolster midfield
The Milanese’s thin squad has come up short this season in both the league and in Europe, where they were eventually knocked out by bitter city rivals Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-final after a valiant run in which they beat Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli led them to the last four.
Serbian international star man Milinkovic-Savic has excelled under former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, scoring 18 goals in his last two Serie A seasons but with the 28-year-old set to be out of contract at the end of the season, the central midfielder will not be short of suitors across Europe.
