Arsenal have offered midfielder Reiss Nelson a new improved contract to stay at the club until 2027.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed the best season of his career so far at the Gunners and manager Mikel Arteta is keen on the former England under-21 international committing his long-term future to the club.

Nelson has already rejected the offer of a short-term deal from Arsenal but talks remain open to keep Nelson at the club he first joined when he was a nine-year-old.
According to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Nelson has been offered a four-year contract with the option of an additional year to deter the Londoner from moving abroad, with unnamed clubs from Italy, France, and England all interested in signing Nelson on a free transfer this summer.
