Man United are close to agreeing a new long-term deal with Diogo Dalot. The right-back has been a resurgent star in Erik ten Hag’s side this term, and the Red Devils are keen to ward off interest from other clubs.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Portuguese full-back will put pen to paper on a new five-year deal at Old Trafford. However, it is still believed that United will make another signing in the full-back position this summer.
Man United close to agreeing Dalot extension
Dalot has enjoyed an excellent season with United this term, scoring once and registering two assists in 25 league outings. There were questions surrounding the full-back’s future at the club at the beginning of the campaign, but he has impressed ten Hag enough to merit a new deal.
However, Dalot’s extension raises fresh questions about the long-term future of Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Reports are stating that the Red Devils could be open to offers for the 25-year-old, especially as United remain interested in signing Jeremie Frimpong.
