Man United remain interested in signing a new goalkeeper this summer, regardless of whether David De Gea signs an extension at the club.
The Red Devils have already been touted with moves for Porto’s Diogo Costa and Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez. However, a new option has emerged, according to the latest reports.
Man United interested in Chevalier transfer
It has been mentioned by Ignazio Genuardi, that the Red Devils have been keeping a close eye on Lille stopper Lucas Chevalier. The report claims that the Red Devils have been impressed by his standout displays for the Ligue 1 side throughout the season.
Chevalier could present a more affordable option for United this summer, as he is currently valued at $15 million, according to Transfermarkt. However, Lille could ask for a considerably higher fee as the number one only agreed on a four-year extension in January.
The goalkeeper has been one of the standout performers in Ligue 1 this term, as he has kept 12 clean sheets for Lille.
