Diogo Dalot set for new three-year deal at Old Trafford
The 24-year-old initially struggled to settle in Manchester after being signed from Porto for $23.5m in 2018 by Jose Mourinho and was sent out on loan to Serie A giants in 2020 by former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
This season has seen a real upturn in form for the Portuguese international, who has undergone a battle with Aaron Wan-Bissaka to become United’s first-choice right-back under new head coach Erik Ten Hag.
Before his one-match suspension for picking up five yellow cards, Dalot incredibly only missed four minutes in all of United’s first 13 Premier League matches this season and has found himself performing adeptly at left-back too, where he ended up finishing off a sweeping move for United’s second goal in their 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest last month.
