Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has reiterated that he wants number-one goalkeeper David De Gea to stay at Old Trafford next season.
The Spaniard is currently out of contract in a month’s time and there has been a lot of speculation that Ten Hag wants a goalkeeper more adept at playing out from the back with his feet, with Bart Verbruggen, Andre Onana, and Lucas Chevalier all linked.
David De Gea only has four weeks left on current deal
But according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ten Hag said of De Gea after he picked up the Premier League Golden Glove Award before United’s win over Fulham on Sunday, “I already said it last time so I’m repeating myself, we want David De Gea to stay and he wants to stay. We will find a way of understanding”.
